Bachelor’s degree – first cycle study
Application till 31 August 2016
The student is prepared to work in the socialized and private healthcare centers involved in rehabilitation. A graduate acquires skills in restoring health in patients of all ages lost as a result of diseases and injuries. The student acquires knowledge of comprehensive rehabilitation programs in various dysfunctions of the human organism.
Students participate in symposia and scientific meetings, scientific physiotherapy circle and recreational summer camps. Volunteers participate in the Foundation for Active Rehabilitation camps.
Student gains theoretical knowledge and practical skills and social competencies necessary to follow physiotherapy procedures: physiotherapeutic treatment techniques and massage, physiotherapy and basic procedures of manual therapy and the use of orthopedic equipment.
In pursuing the course of study in Specialization module (optional) the student will gain skills and knowledge needed to:
- To work effectively in sport – for prevention and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries;
- To conduct occupational therapy process with persons with impairments and functional limitations, mental health, disabilities, people excluded or at risk of social exclusion;
- To carry out the rehabilitation of children and adolescents taking into account the dynamism of developmental age.

The procedure for confirmation of learning outcomes
During the course of study, the student gains theoretical knowledge and practical skills and social competencies necessary to follow physiotherapeutic procedures: physiotherapeutic treatment techniques and massage, physiotherapy and basic procedures of manual therapy, kinesitherapy and the use of orthopedic equipment.
The student acquires skills needed in the use of physical factors in prevention and for therapeutic purposes and health promotion. In the course of study much attention is paid to the development of skills and competences needed for professional approach to the patient and for effective communication in the work of the medical team.
A graduate of the first degree studies can work in the public and private health care institutions (hospital wards, healthcare, long-term and terminal care facilities, medical care facilities, nursing homes), sports centers and may specialize in environmental rehabilitation. The graduate is prepared to manage his own company, in compliance with appropriate regulations.
